The Corduroy Culotte - Women's

I love the material and the super wide leg! I have these trousers in two colours and they are great. However, I do wish the upper body construction was different. Because the rear and waist are so wide, it's hard to find the appropriate size. Everything I've bought from TSF has been two sizes too large for me but I can't return due to the high cost of shipping from the US to Canada. I bought my first pair of culottes in 14 and they were so big I had to get them tailored. And I couldn't just get the waist taken in, the tailor had to take in the rear end area too. I bought my second pair a size smaller and they're still too big, despite me gaining weight. and they're definitely extremely unflattering from behind. A second issue is that the legs are wide and heavy, but the elastic waist is not sturdy enough. So the pants are constantly getting dragged down by the weight and you always need to hitch them back up if you walk around or do a lot of movement. If the waist band was thicker/wider and stronger this would solve the issue. My third issue is the look of the seam around the hips - it makes the trousers look like they're meant to be worn underneath something, similiar to South Asian shalwars or long underwear.

Despite these issues (and the high cost of customs tax I pay upon arrival), I still wear the two culottes I own daily! I hope TSF can improve the make of these (and add pockets!!) and if they do I will recommend them to everyone!
