How quickly do orders ship?

What does preorder mean?
Occasionally, we offer certain styles as preorder items before they officially arrive at our warehouse.
This allows customers to reserve pieces ahead of launch, especially for styles we expect to sell quickly.
Estimated shipping timeframes are always listed on the product page. Please note that preorder timelines can occasionally shift slightly due to production or transit delays outside of our control.
If your order contains both preorder and in-stock items, your order may ship together once all items are ready unless otherwise noted.
Can I cancel or change my order?
We begin processing orders quickly, so we cannot always guarantee cancellations or order changes once an order has been placed.

Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Yes — eligible items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery.
Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition with tags attached.

Due to the nature of garment dyeing, mineral dyeing, washing processes, and natural fibers, slight variations in tone and texture can occur from piece to piece.
We believe these subtle variations are part of what makes each garment unique.
How should I care for my garments?
To help extend the life of your garments, we recommend washing gently in cold water and laying flat or hanging to dry whenever possible.
Natural fabrics may soften and evolve beautifully over time with wear and washing.

Restocks
Do you restock sold out items?
Some of our most-loved styles and core pieces may restock throughout the year, while seasonal or limited-run styles may not return once sold out.
If a product or size is unavailable, we recommend signing up for restock notifications directly on the product page whenever available.

At The Simple Folk, we create timeless pieces designed to be worn, loved, and passed down for years to come — not just for a single season.
Quality Over Quantity
We focus on small-batch production, thoughtful design, and high-quality materials that are made to last through everyday wear, washing, play, and repeat use.
Many of our customers find that while the initial investment is higher, the cost per wear becomes much lower over time compared to fast fashion pieces that need frequent replacing.
Natural & Organic Materials
Where possible, we use organic cotton, linen, and other natural fibers chosen for their softness, comfort, and durability.
These fabrics are typically more expensive to source and produce than conventional materials, but we believe the feel, quality, and longevity are worth it.
Small-Batch Production
Unlike mass-produced fashion, many of our collections are made in smaller quantities with trusted production partners in India and Italy.
Producing in smaller batches allows for a more intentional approach to design and production, but it also means higher manufacturing costs per piece.

Thoughtful Production

Some garments also go through specialty washes, mineral dyeing, or small-batch finishing processes that add additional craftsmanship and character to each piece.
Slower Fashion
We are intentionally not a fast fashion brand. We produce more slowly, restock thoughtfully, and aim to avoid unnecessary overproduction wherever possible.
