The Simple Folk began with family. With the desire to create clothing that children could live, play, and grow in. Easy, comfortable, and safe. We saw how hard it was to find pieces that were both beautiful and made responsibly, so we decided to make them ourselves. Made with care we'd want for our own children.

Then we thought: what about us? The mothers, sisters, and caregivers. The ones doing the loving, the holding, the late nights and early mornings. We wanted clothes that felt as good as they looked, that could move with us through all the parts of our lives. That's how womenswear was born.

Our pieces are deeply considered. We don't make anything we wouldn't wear ourselves; at home, at work, or on a Sunday in the park. We believe in comfort without compromise, in clothing that feels like a soft exhale. Made to last through years, not seasons, and to be part of your life in a real way.

In 2025, we joined Inside Out, led by CEO and Founder, Suzy Amis Cameron. This partnership has deepened our commitment to responsible practices and connected us with a community that shares our values: care for people, for the planet, and for each other. We also work closely with WRÅD, a design studio who helps us bridge the gap between design and craft, ensuring every piece meets the standards we've held from the beginning, in a journey of constant evolution.The Simple Folk remains exactly what it started as: a small team of people who believe that comfort, quality, and consciousness belong together.
