Rising in love: To be loved is to be seen.

At The Simple Folk, we don’t just collaborate with creators—we see them. In their intentionality, their values, their slowness. This is why we call them Conscious Creators, not traditional influencers. Their work isn’t about quick clicks or fleeting trends; it’s about thoughtfulness, depth, and a love for the world they are shaping with each choice.

This week, we’re spotlighting breathwork coach and mumma of 3, Charnelle, a creator who embodies this rising in love energy—not just in how she dresses, but in how she moves through life with presence, care, and devotion to slow living.

We asked her 4 questions on love. We hope you enjoy her reflections as much as we do!

1. Love and slowness often go hand in hand. How has embracing a slower way of living deepened your relationship with yourself and others?

For me, being an intentional mother and woman means being deeply honest about my needs and the life I want to cultivate for my three little humans. My nervous system mirrors the quality of my relationships, and choosing to live intentionally requires presence. Presence happens when we slow down and consciously move through life—allowing me to attune to their emotions, co-regulate, and foster a safe connection with them.

2. What’s something you choose to love fully, even when it requires patience?

I choose to love the mundane moments of motherhood, even when I catch myself yearning for the parts of me that shifted in early postpartum. It looks like being patient with my healing body, and the slower pace of my big dreams. These are the years I once longed for, and I choose patience over the programmed belief that I need more—because right now, I’m living in the most sacred years of my life.

3. If love were a fabric, a texture, a piece of clothing—what would it be to you?

Love, to me, feels like buttery soft organic cotton on my skin, wrapping me in a gentle hug.

4. How do you see ‘rising in love’ reflected in the way you create, share, and exist in the world?

My goal in this lifetime is to choose love over fear, always. Rising in love to me is about reminding others what life feels like when you love yourself, and the magic begins to follow you everywhere. When I share and hold space for women, I hope they remember their inherent self-worth, helping them return to themselves with love at the forefront.
